I was trying for the first time cause the one I usually go to had closed and my girl relocated to far so it's always scary trying someone for the first time to cut your hair and hopefully get the cut you want. So let me tell you that it was quick service very friendly and the girl who cut my hair, Arlene, was awesome. She did EXACTLY the way I told her, I actually had a picture, and she did a perfect job. She was so nice and friendly and will definitely be cutting my hair again.
Relaxed my own hair after being natural for 2 years and had no idea what to do with it once it was relaxed! Martin Plaza Hair cuttery is close to my home, so I decided to give it a try, since my son's ex gf is a loyal customer. I visited one Sunday afternoon, sat in waiting chair not knowing what to expect. I watched a couple of the stylist work ,and Angelique, caught my eye. She had just cut two customers hair and I liked it. So I sat in her chair and told her what I wanted and to my surprise she did a great job! She gave me trim and curls with flat irons. I have been back to her a few times since and will definitely return . Kudos to Angelique
I love my hair stylist Angelique. She was able to create a hair style I found online to a tee. I have had so many compliments on the style and I have to agree 100%. She also did some color for me that I absolutely loved as well. I would definitely recommend her to anyone. Thank you so much for helping me feel better about my hair. I absolutely love you and what you do for my hair.
I am never really the kind of person to complain and if I'm upset with my services I just kind of shrug it off and pay for it without complaining. I went for a bang trim, I had long wispy bangs and wanted to keep them the same but just a smidge shorter so I could wear them down. I explained this to the woman assigned to me as a walk in and said I just wanted them cut a tiny bit shorter. I paid my five dollars and tipped the woman even though my bangs had been cut almost straight across and ABOVE my brows. My hair is one of the only things I love about myself (as I have heavy self esteem issues) and I figured I could flat iron them and it would be fine. I have been crying all day because I feel like I now look like a prepubescent boy and there is no real chance of fixing my hair any time soon, or at least before thanksgiving with my in laws. I feel horrible for saying this but I will not be returning.
I've been coming to this location off and on for 20+yrs. 90% of the time I have loved my experience/results. When I haven't it was partly my fault for not giving better instructions for I wanted. When I wasn't happy, I did come back and someone would try and fix whatever I didn't like free of charge. The past 2yrs, my daughter and I have been seeing Arlene and we LOVE her! She always listens and does what is best for our hair and doesn't try and make us buy ridiculous amounts of products like some places.
