I had BGE Home install a house humidifier. They were quick and responsive with the scheduling and ordering of the humidifier. The price was also fair. The installation was quickly scheduled and the technician was friendly and on time! I would recommend BGE Home services again.
BGE Home has provided reliable home services in the past, and I have contracts for plumbing and electrical, and water and sewer line services. Something seems to have changed, and I am alarmed and disappointed. I called to request emergency service for a back up into my lower level kitchen sink on November 30. Dark water is standing in the sink to the point of being ready to overflow. I was told they could get someone out to my home on December 13th! When I pressed the issue, they revised it to December 4. After considerable time and "checking", they finally agreed to send someone out the next day, but could not give an approximation of when they would arrive. I had to call another plumbing firm, who agreed to send someone out by 10 that evening. I feel BGE Home should be able to do better, and I'm questioning the value of the contract if I have to resort to other plumbing firms for service.
BGE Home is billing me again and a again for a bill that was paid three months ago. NOT happy with the billing department at all. RIGHT NOW at noon Monday Sept 25th their billing department is closed due to high call volume because of so many billing mistakes made by them. Totally incompetent. They tell me that I do not owe any money but they can't take the amount listed on my BGE bill off. Why is that? You put it on there you can take it off. They say they can't do anything about the bill so the amount I paid just keeps on coming up again every month. So sick of this. Ready to cancel my service agreement with them. If they can't handle billing I don't want to deal with them at all.

I must say, this is the worst customer service experience I’ve ever encountered. The service technician informed that the diagnostic fee would be waived. However, I received an invoice for the diagnostic fee and other charges of $435. In addition, the service was not successfully completed. By the time I arrived home the water is my shower was still cold. I contacted them to come out again and the issue was still not fixed. So basically, I need to pay $435 for making a phone call to an unreliable company. Then, a customer service representative said that the charges are validated. Baby girl, please tell me how the charges are validated when your service technician informed me that the diagnostic fee would be waived, but you have no record of it. Second of all, nothing has been fixed! This is beyond frustrating for someone who literally had to wait a month or so before they even had enough money to contact BGE. The person on the phone did not even want to let me speak and constantly cut me off when I was trying to explain what the service technician and I discussed. No empathy or compassion whatsoever. Please do not waste your time dealing with a shady company.
