When my family purchased space inside the mausoleum, aka The Chapel of Peace (at a then-astronomical amount of money.. $18,000) we were so impressed with the interior and thought what a wonderful place for a family to visit and reflect on the life of their loved one.

Dear Dignity Memorial, Shame on you for allowing this once beautiful and peaceful place to become a dirty repository of yard-sale junk.

I went to my mother and fathers grave and was not happy.

The marble, in which the name plate sits, was cracked in the middle. My nieces son, well his was not only cracked but the vase was stuffed upside down and twisted so that you couldn't lift it to put flowers. I found another grave (not one of my family members) was crusted so deeply in dried mud that he or she (or both) could not be identified. I tried to take a stick and clean it but to no avail. I could go on and on however; I am ashamed of how these "care takers" are taking care of mine and others loved ones. If I post pictures you would not believe it. There are a lot of graves that have been "cared" for but many that have not.. Go look for yourselves. My family will be addressing these issues on behalf of our family and will mention others that are in need of much care. If you have someone there and you live far away, go to check on them at some point.

The classic example of smoke and mirrors if you ask me.

Fast forward 20 years.

The Chapel of Peace has lost all its original appeal. Deferred maintenance would be an understatement. Where there was once cozy seating arrangements... sofas, chairs, tables for guest to utilize, there's now just filthy carpet, dingy walls, and crypts laden with unapproved vases, postings and tacky memorabilia.

Sad, very sad.

The once beautiful sofa tables that accommodated the many bronze vases have been reduced in number thereby leaving the remaining ones cluttered with too many vases; along with all sorts of miscellaneous junk.
